The smooth 2-hour tarmac drive passes through vibrant Maasai countryside and open plains.

Upon passing the park gate, begin your game drive along the Tarangire River circuit. During dry seasons, this vital water source draws thousands of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and elands, closely trailed by lions and leopards. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch at the Matete viewpoint overlooking the river. Spend the morning tracking lion prides, spotted hyenas, jackals, and massive bull elephants roaming the Lerai Forest. Keep your binoculars ready as the open grassland near Lake Magadi offers one of East Africa’s best chances to spot the endangered Black Rhino.
