Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Drive from Moshi/Arusha to Machame Gate for registration. Trek through dense montane rainforest filled with moss, ferns, and colobus monkeys. Reach Machame Camp for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Day 3: Shira 2 Camp via Lava Tower (Acclimatization) to Barranco Camp

Day 4: Barranco Camp via Barranco Wall to Karanga Camp

Scramble up the iconic Barranco Wall using hands and feet (non-technical). Continue across alpine ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp for lunch and an overnight acclimatization stay.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (Summit Base)

Trek up through the alpine desert landscape to Barafu Camp. Arrive by early afternoon, set up camp, eat an early dinner, and sleep before the midnight summit ascent.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (SUMMIT) to Descend to Mweka Camp

Wake at 11:30 PM for tea and biscuits. Begin the steep midnight push past Stella Point (5,756 m) to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) at sunrise. Celebrate at the summit before descending to Barafu for lunch and continuing down to Mweka Camp.

  • Trek: ~6–8 hours ascent / 5–7 hours descent / 17 km total / Summit: 5,895 m to Sleep: 3,100 m

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Transfer to Arusha (Rest Day)

Complete the final descent through the rainforest canopy to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificates, bid farewell to your mountain crew, and transfer to your hotel in Arusha for a long shower, massage, and relaxation.

Day 9: Arusha to Tarangire National Park to Overnight Karatu

Day 12: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Morning game drive in the Serengeti. After a picnic lunch, transit south into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the crater rim in the late afternoon for sunset views.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater Descent to Return to Arusha / JRO

Descend 600 meters onto the crater floor for a morning game drive searching for black rhinos, bull elephants, and lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Ngoitokitok hippo pool before ascending to drive back to Arusha or JRO Airport.
